First of all install and activate Brand Portfolio plugin using the brand-portfolio zip file that you have downloaded from www.wp-brandtheme.com.
After activated the plugin click on Portfolio in the admin menu bar. Here you can create portfolio items and portfolio categories to show on your site.
In the portfolio edit screen you can add custom fields to show portfolio details ( client, date, website, etc.) on single portfolio pages.

How to show the Portfolio

You can show the portfolio list on a page or using a shortcode.

Show the Portfolio on a page

If you want to show the portfolio list on a page, from your admin dashboard go to Brand Theme > Brand Portfolio and select the page where you want to show the portfolio from the dropdown list.

Show the Portfolio using the shortcode

You can show the portfolio list wherever you want using a shortcode.  You can use options to customize the output.
To create a new portfolio shortcode from your admin dashboard go to Portfolio > Shortcodes and click on the Add New button.

Here you can set different options.

Clicking on the General tab you can see the following options:

  • Items number: the number of items to display. Use -1 to show all items ;
  • Order: Designates the ascending or descending order of the orderby option;
  • Orderby: Sort retrieved portfolio items according to the selected option. Defaults to date;
  • Categories: Comma separated list of portfolio categories to display;
  • Columns: Number of columns for each portfolio items row (up to six).

Clicking on the Style tab you can see the following options:

  • Style: Style used to layout the portfolio items. You can choose between: Simple, Grid, Grid no spacing, Masonry, Masonry no spacing.
  • Background color: Background color for each portfolio item;
  • Text color: Color of the text for title and categories;
  • Background image opacity: Opacity of the background image on hover state: from 0 (transparent) to 1 (full opacity).

Once you saved the portfolio shortcode you can copy it clicking on copy to clipboard and then paste it into a post, page or whatever you want.

Or you can use the Add Portfolio button placed close to the Add Media button, above the WordPress editor.

Styling the Portfolio page

You can style the portfolio page from Customizer > Portfolio. Here you can find the following options:

  • Order: Designates the ascending or descending order of the orderby option;
  • Orderby: Sort retrieved portfolio items according to the selected option. Defaults to date;
  • Style: Style used to layout the portfolio items. You can choose between: Simple, Grid, Grid no spacing, Masonry, Masonry no spacing.
  • Columns: Number of columns for each portfolio items row (up to six).
  • Background color: Background color for each portfolio item;
  • Text color: Color of the text for title and categories;
